Some Dallas trade shows are built around wholesale orders. Others are designed for engineering demonstrations, scheduled distributor meetings, or direct-to-consumer sales. If you are deciding where to exhibit in late 2026 or 2027, the event name is not enough. The right show is the one whose audience matches what your company sells and how that sale actually happens.
This guide covers trade shows in Dallas and selected major events in the wider Dallas–Fort Worth area. Every listing shows the actual city, so an event at the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine is not presented as though it were in downtown Dallas.
Information checked September 5, 2026. Dates, exhibit hours, eligibility, and available space can change. Confirm the current exhibitor materials before committing to a booth, freight, or travel.

Major Upcoming Trade Shows in Dallas and DFW
1. ArchLIGHT Summit

ArchLIGHT Summit is useful when a lighting product must be evaluated by people who understand more than style. Lighting designers, architects, specifiers, manufacturers, and other commercial-lighting professionals come to compare optics, controls, application quality, and the way a fixture performs in a space.
The next summit runs September 15–16, 2026 at Dallas Market Center. Beginning in 2027, it moves to June 22–23 and sits directly beside Lightovation on June 23–26. That new overlap matters. A company serving both commercial specification and residential or hospitality channels can cover two different lighting audiences in one Dallas trip rather than treating the events as interchangeable.
At this show, the product has to create its own evidence. A fixture shown under ordinary hall lighting may look like every other fixture on the aisle. Controlled beam comparisons, glare control, dimming behavior, color quality, and a clear application scene give visitors something they can judge. Before the layout is approved, confirm how much control the exhibit will have over ambient light, power, rigging, and demonstration conditions.
2. Gift & Home Market

Dallas Market Center’s Gift & Home Market operates as a wholesale marketplace with permanent showrooms, temporary exhibitors, and several buying periods during the year. The next market is September 15–17, 2026. The larger 2027 Total Home & Gift Markets run January 6–12 and June 23–29, with shorter temporary-exhibit dates inside each market.
Before deciding how much space to reserve, work out exactly where the product belongs inside the market. Home décor, holiday, floral, gourmet, housewares, fashion accessories, and lighting attract different retail buyers, so the right product neighborhood can matter more than being near the busiest entrance.
This market makes the most sense when your company is ready to discuss wholesale terms, assortments, packaging, case quantities, delivery windows, and repeat orders with independent retailers, specialty stores, designers, or buying groups. It is a weaker choice for industrial technology that needs engineers or plant operators.
Dallas Market Center reported that 77.9% of new-company registrations for its June 2026 Home & Gift market came from Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Arkansas. That is a useful sign that the market retains a strong regional retail base even as it attracts buyers from farther away.
3. KidsWorld

KidsWorld brings children’s apparel, footwear, gifts, toys, nursery décor, textiles, and juvenile products into the Dallas wholesale calendar. Its September 15–17, 2026 edition runs alongside Gift & Home Market. Confirmed 2027 dates include January 19–22, March 16–19, and June 23–29. Cross-shopping is part of the opportunity: a retailer may arrive for children’s clothing and also source toys or gifts, while a gift buyer may discover a nursery line elsewhere in the same complex. That helps collections that naturally cross categories. It does not rescue a product with only a loose connection to children.
Choose the edition that matches your release and ordering cycle. A seasonal apparel collection, an evergreen nursery product, and a new toy line do not need the same buyer at the same moment. Taking every available date without a clear launch or reorder purpose can turn a useful recurring market into an expensive habit.
4. IntraLogisteX Dallas

For warehouse technology, the important question is simple: can visitors understand how the system works without imagining the missing half of it? IntraLogisteX Dallas runs September 16–17, 2026 in Exhibit Hall B at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center. Its scope includes automation, robotics, material handling, warehouse software, and supply-chain technology, with conference content and live exhibitor demonstrations.
A conveyor component, robot, picking system, or warehouse platform becomes much easier to evaluate when the process is visible from input to output. Throughput, footprint, integration points, operator involvement, and the exception path matter more here than a broad corporate video. If the full machine cannot travel, a working cell, scaled process, or live software workflow should still show where the product fits in an operation.
This is one of the Dallas shows where exhibit services can change the idea itself. Machine weight, electrical load, compressed air, network access, guarding, and material movement need to be known before the booth is priced. A concept that ignores those requirements is not yet an exhibit plan.
5. Apparel & Accessories Market

The Apparel & Accessories Market returns several times a year because retailers place fashion orders throughout the year. The next edition is October 20–23, 2026. Confirmed 2027 dates include January 19–22, March 16–19, June 15–18, and October 19–22.
For a fashion brand, that schedule creates a practical choice. Attend when buyers are writing the orders your collection is ready to take. The January, spring, summer, and fall editions can serve different delivery windows, and the same retailer may return with a different open-to-buy position. The market offers broad coverage across women’s apparel, footwear, and accessories, with both permanent showrooms and temporary exhibits. It is a sensible starting point when you need exposure across a wider range of retailers. If the collection depends on a more edited contemporary setting, compare it with FIG before committing to the larger market.
6. Fashion Industry Gallery Apparel & Accessories

Fashion Industry Gallery and Dallas Market Center’s Apparel & Accessories Market can occur during the same buying week, but they are not duplicate entries on a calendar. FIG is trade-only, focuses on contemporary women’s fashion, uses juried collections, and runs five markets a year. The next edition is October 20–22, 2026; its published 2027 dates are January 19–21, March 16–18, June 15–17, and August 24–26.
FIG is worth closer attention when the setting around the line matters to how buyers read the brand. A tightly edited contemporary collection may benefit from a more selective environment, while a company seeking broader category coverage may find the Dallas Market Center market more productive.
Look beyond the fact that both events happen in Dallas. Compare the brands around you, the type of retailer the show approves, the showroom format, and the new-exhibitor application. Choose the setting in which your price point and collection positioning make immediate sense to the buyer; the length of the exhibitor list is secondary.
7. FAN EXPO Dallas

FAN EXPO Dallas is not a traditional B2B trade show. The convention center classifies the September 11–13, 2026 event as a consumer show, and its traffic is driven by comics, gaming, anime, celebrity programming, cosplay, and collectibles.
That distinction makes the decision easier. Licensed merchandise, toys, art, apparel, collectibles, games, and products that can be demonstrated or sold directly may perform well. Equipment and services that depend on engineers, corporate procurement, or a long technical sale probably will not become relevant merely because the hall is busy. For vendors, inventory and transaction flow shape the exhibit more than a private meeting room. Customers need to see the product, understand the price, pay, and leave without blocking the aisle. Limited editions and photo moments can increase attention, but stock security, point-of-sale reliability, queue space, and fast replenishment decide whether that attention turns into revenue.
8. Collect-A-Con Dallas

The October 24–25, 2026 Collect-A-Con Dallas is even more clearly built around collecting and commerce. The official event listing advertises more than 900 vendor tables alongside gameplay, celebrity guests, and live performances.
Nine hundred tables indicate a dense selling environment; they do not mean 900 independent brands or 900 professional buyers. Your real comparison is likely to be between product turnover, average transaction value, staffing, travel, and the cost of occupying enough table or booth space to display inventory securely.
Trading cards, anime merchandise, collectibles, and community-driven releases fit the audience. A rare-item seller may need locked displays and controlled handling, while a high-volume vendor needs quick browsing and checkout. Companies with a long B2B sales cycle should usually spend their Dallas budget elsewhere.
9. Lightovation: Dallas International Lighting Show

Lightovation uses approximately one million square feet of lighting presentation at Dallas Market Center. The 2027 shows run January 6–9 and June 23–26, covering decorative and architectural fixtures, indoor and outdoor lighting, ceiling fans, controls, light sources, and connected-lighting systems.
The scale is useful because lighting buyers can compare a very wide market in one trip. It also means a product can disappear if the display does not make its difference visible. Brightness alone is rarely enough. Scale, finish, beam character, color temperature, controls, installation context, and how a family of fixtures works together are what help a dealer or designer understand where the line belongs. Lightovation is the stronger fit for companies selling into residential and hospitality lighting channels. For a product led by commercial specification, building performance, or continuing education, ArchLIGHT may offer the more concentrated audience. In June 2027, the two events run back-to-back, making a combined plan possible, although the message should still change for each audience.
10. HDAW

HDAW is one of the few events on this list where the meeting program can be as important as the show floor. Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week takes place January 18–21, 2027 at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center in Grapevine. The current event site describes more than 300 suppliers, while the exhibitor program gives qualified suppliers access to scheduled one-to-one meetings with distributors.
For companies selling heavy-duty parts, diagnostics, electronics, shop equipment, telematics, or service solutions, that format changes the preparation. The booth introduces products to the wider market; the appointments are where account-specific questions about coverage, fitment, distribution, inventory, and support can be addressed. Treating the meeting room and exhibit as separate projects usually leads to two incomplete sales stories.
The show is tightly defined around the heavy-duty aftermarket. If your company cannot identify the distributor category, vehicle system, or service problem it serves, HDAW is easy to eliminate. Also plan around Grapevine rather than downtown Dallas when booking hotels, freight, and team transportation.
11. Annual Meat Conference

The Annual Meat Conference compresses its exposition into one day. AMC 2027 runs March 1–3 at the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine, but the exhibit hall is open only on March 2 from 11:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The organizer currently reports more than 2,500 industry leaders and identifies more than 460 retailer and wholesaler buyers in its 2025 figures.
That five-hour-and-fifteen-minute window rewards focus. A meat or poultry brand may use sampling to open a discussion about assortment, margin, packaging, case configuration, and store execution. A packaging, processing, cold-chain, or retail-technology supplier needs a compact demonstration that can be understood while buyers are moving through a concentrated hall.
The budget also has a clear starting point. The published 2027 booth rate is $50 per square foot for members, with a 120-square-foot minimum, making the minimum raw space cost $6,000 before the exhibit, utilities, refrigeration, sampling, labor, freight, and travel. Membership eligibility, food handling, water, sanitation, temperature control, and waste plans should be resolved before the display is finalized.
12. Dallas Travel & Adventure Show

The Dallas Travel & Adventure Show brings more than 250 destinations, tour companies, cruise lines, and travel providers to the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center on March 6–7, 2027. Public hours total 12 hours across the weekend, and travel advisors receive early access on Saturday.
Destinations and travel products can reach two audiences here, but they should not be valued the same way. Consumers may respond to an itinerary, event, route, or show-only offer and take a booking action. Advisors need commission, group, sales-support, or product information they can use after the event. A beautiful destination wall may attract both groups, yet it does not finish either conversation.
This show is most relevant when the trip can be made tangible. A clear itinerary, bookable offer, advisor resource, tasting, cultural demonstration, or interactive route can turn interest into a next step. If your only objective is meetings with travel-trade professionals, ask for the current advisor count and access opportunities before using the total public audience to justify the spend.
13. BUILD27: AWCI Convention + Expo

BUILD27 serves the wall and ceiling industry rather than the entire construction market. Drywall, ceilings and acoustics, metal framing, plaster, EIFS, insulation, software, tools, and related systems are presented to specialty contractors, general contractors, architects, and specifiers. The event runs April 12–15, 2027 at the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine; the expo itself is open April 14 from 12:30 to 5:00 p.m. and April 15 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.
That narrow audience is the attraction. A wall assembly, fastening system, finish, acoustic product, or field tool can be discussed with people who understand installation sequence and compatibility. Full-size mockups, cut sections, and side-by-side installation details usually answer more useful questions than a general building photograph.
AWCI has also published concrete 2027 space rates: a standard 10-by-10-foot booth is $4,000 for members or $6,000 for non-members, with a $200 corner charge for spaces smaller than 20 by 20 feet. If the product genuinely belongs to this specialty, the concentrated audience can justify the cost. If it serves many unrelated construction trades, compare BUILD27 with Dallas Build Expo before choosing.
14. Dallas Build Expo

Dallas Build Expo is the broader construction option. It is scheduled for August 25–26, 2027 at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, with exhibit hours from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day. The current organizer page advertises more than 300 exhibitors and an audience that includes architects, contractors, engineers, builders, developers, facility managers, owners, and property managers.
The wider audience suits products that can enter several kinds of building project: general materials, jobsite equipment, building systems, software, maintenance solutions, and contractor services. It is less concentrated than AWCI, so the exhibit must identify the application quickly. “Construction solutions” is too broad; a visitor should be able to see whether the product solves a roofing, concrete, safety, workflow, maintenance, or building-system problem. The hall is open for only ten hours across two days. That is enough for a focused regional sales effort, but not enough to explain an undefined offer to every role in construction. Choose Dallas Build Expo when your company wants broad project-market reach and can follow up in Texas and the surrounding region. Choose AWCI when wall and ceiling specialists are the people who most influence the sale.

How to Choose From the Dallas Trade Show List
Start by separating trade-only markets, professional expos, scheduled-meeting events, and consumer shows. If your company needs distributors, specifiers, or technical users, a large public audience is not a substitute. If the product is bought on the spot, a consumer vendor show may be more useful than a smaller professional conference.
Then compare the details that control access: who is admitted, who can exhibit, how many hours the show floor is open, whether appointments are available, and whether the event is actually in Dallas or elsewhere in DFW. Ask the organizer for the current exhibitor prospectus, audience profile, floor plan, and remaining space.
A practical shortlist has three names: the best match, a credible alternative, and one event that still needs evidence. That is enough to compare audience quality, timing, cost, and what your sales team can realistically follow up after the show.
If you are comparing destinations or venue types beyond this shortlist, use our U.S. trade show calendar and Texas convention center guide for the next level of planning.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the biggest trade show in Dallas?
By published display area, Lightovation is the clearest large specialist example, with approximately one million square feet of lighting presentation at Dallas Market Center. By vendor density among consumer events, Collect-A-Con Dallas advertises more than 900 vendor tables. For broad construction, Dallas Build Expo currently advertises more than 300 exhibitors. These figures measure different things, so they should not be combined into one ranking.
Are Dallas Market Center shows open to the public?
Most core Dallas Market Center wholesale markets are intended for qualified trade buyers, not general public shopping. Registration requirements vary by market, and exhibitors may participate through permanent showrooms or temporary leasing. FIG also states that its fashion markets are trade-only. Check the current registration and exhibitor requirements for the specific market you plan to attend.
Which Dallas trade shows are open to exhibitors?
IntraLogisteX, HDAW, Annual Meat Conference, BUILD27, and Dallas Build Expo publish exhibitor paths, although eligibility and availability differ. Dallas Market Center separates temporary leasing from permanent showroom participation. FAN EXPO and Collect-A-Con accept exhibitors or vendors for consumer-facing sales. The Annual Meat Conference is especially specific: its published 2027 rate is for members only, at $50 per square foot with a 120-square-foot minimum.
