Will builders at Build Show LIVE want to work through your product’s installation details? You want to show how it fits around a window opening or into a wall assembly, then talk with the people who might choose it for their next home project.
The 2026 edition takes place in San Antonio, Texas, with a September 10–12 conference and a September 11–12 expo. Here is what distinguishes the show, what the current program tells you about its audience, and where to check the details before committing to participation. Official event website.

What is Build Show LIVE?
Build Show LIVE connects residential construction education with an exhibition of building products and tools. It grew out of Matt Risinger’s The Build Show Network, bringing the platform’s emphasis on better home construction into an event where people can watch demonstrations and discuss the work. Its roots in building science help explain the program’s attention to how materials perform once they are installed. The story of Build Show LIVE.
For your brand, that creates a useful test: can you show something a builder needs to get right? A window flashing detail or a visible connection between wall materials gives a visitor something specific to examine. A broad claim about quality gives them much less to discuss.
The organizer identifies custom builders, contractors, remodelers and architects among the intended audience. However, the homepage also welcomes homeowners and DIY enthusiasts. Treat this as an event with a strong professional focus, not a guarantee that everyone walking past your booth controls a purchasing budget. Official event overview.

Build Show LIVE 2026 dates and location
Build Show LIVE 2026 is scheduled at the Henry B. González Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas. The distinction between the conference and expo matters when you decide which days your team needs to attend.
| Day | Published program | Expo hall hours |
|---|---|---|
| Thursday, September 10, 2026 | Classroom education and VIP day | No expo hours listed |
| Friday, September 11, 2026 | Education and expo | 10 a.m.–6 p.m. |
| Saturday, September 12, 2026 | Education and expo | 10 a.m.–3 p.m. |
These are the organizer’s published show hours, not exhibitor installation times. A Thursday arrival does not give you an extra day of booth traffic. If you are already exhibiting, arrange any staff attendance at education sessions around booth coverage during the two expo days. 2026 show schedule.
Which products and customer conversations fit the show?
The organizer’s product interests extend from windows, doors, housewrap and insulation to roofing, tools, HVAC equipment and interior finishes. The common setting is residential building and remodeling. If you market products for the building envelope—the home’s exterior enclosure—your material sits alongside the other components it must work with. Why exhibit at Build Show LIVE.
That makes the event a plausible choice when your sales depend on explaining an assembly, an installation step or a performance tradeoff. A builder considering a new flashing product may need to see how it fits around a window opening before requesting a sample. Your technical colleague’s ability to answer that question may matter more than how many product variants you display.
The match is weaker if your only objective is to meet national purchasing teams for large commodity orders. The published audience description does not establish that those buyers will attend in the numbers you need. Before committing an exhibit budget, ask show sales for the latest attendee breakdown by job role and company type, then compare it with the accounts your sales team actually wants to reach.

The official website links to a 2026 exhibitor directory. Use it to look for the brands your customers already install alongside your products. The 2026 floor plan can then help you locate those companies and organize a research visit. Relevant neighboring categories can reveal a useful audience fit; they do not prove those visitors will become your leads.
What makes the 2026 experience distinctive?
Education is central to this show. The 2026 schedule includes sessions on airtightness, wall assemblies, rainscreen details and window flashing. Those subjects are a particularly useful signal for an envelope-product brand: they concern the junctions and installation decisions that a finished product photograph cannot explain. Published 2026 program.
Read those topics as clues to the questions worth preparing for. If your product is used behind cladding, bring a way to show where it sits in the wall. If it seals an opening, be ready to explain which adjacent materials and installation conditions your own documentation covers. The program supports this presentation approach; it does not validate any particular product claim.
The event also combines classroom sessions with expo-floor education and exhibitor demonstrations. Its 2026 features page names Steve Baczek as the keynote speaker and includes a Pella Windows & Doors demonstration schedule. For your team, watching a demonstration can reveal how much explanation a visitor needs before handling a sample. 2026 event features.
There is an off-floor component, too. The advertised VIP experience includes a guided home tour and dedicated networking activities. Seeing products in a house under construction can add context that a booth cannot reproduce, but those activities are tied to the relevant pass. Do not assume an ordinary admission ticket—or an exhibitor badge—includes them. VIP experience.

What to confirm before you commit
As of September 7, the event is only days away. If you have not secured space, first ask show sales whether participation is still possible. An active booking link is not confirmation that a suitable booth or the services you need remain available.
The public exhibitor FAQ lists the following standard space rates in U.S. dollars:
| Item | Published amount |
|---|---|
| Inline booth space | $44.80 per sq. ft. |
| Island booth space, 400 sq. ft. and above | $41.80 per sq. ft. |
| Inline corner fee | $150 per corner |
| Required online company listing | $400 |
These are space-related charges, not a complete exhibit budget. Confirm the current offer and inclusions with show sales before adding design, exhibit construction, shipping and show services. The same FAQ still says 2026 move-in details are “coming soon”; obtain your actual instructions through the Exhibitor Resource Center or event operations. Official exhibitor FAQ.
If your product fit looks promising but you cannot arrange a workable exhibit in the available time, a research visit may be the better decision. Check the manufacturer registration rules below, then use the visit to examine the technical conversations your team would need to support at a future edition. Do not assume future dates or space availability from the 2026 listing.

FAQs
Can a manufacturer visit without exhibiting?
The official registration page lists a separate NEM (Non-Exhibiting Manufacturer) category. Its advertised advance price is $495 as checked September 7, with a price increase announced for September 9. Ask registration which category and access benefits apply to your team before purchasing; do not assume the lower-priced general Expo Pass is the correct ticket. Passes and registration.
Does booking a booth guarantee coverage by Matt Risinger or The Build Show?
Do not include promised video coverage or a personal endorsement in your business case unless it is separately confirmed in writing. A booth gives you a place to exhibit; any media deliverable needs its own agreed scope. The organizer lists separate sponsorship and marketing opportunities, which are the appropriate starting point for that discussion. Sponsorship and marketing opportunities.
Can our employees bring in a sample wall themselves?
Do not assume a large assembly qualifies as hand-carried material. The public FAQ permits full-time exhibitor employees to carry items or use a small two-wheeled dolly, but excludes four-wheeled carts and similar freight equipment from that allowance. Give event operations the sample’s dimensions, weight and proposed handling method before arranging delivery. Exhibitor handling guidance.
