If you sell veterinary practice software, New York Vet puts you in front of people who work inside clinics. The decision is whether its mix of education and product discovery can help you reach the people who would actually choose your system.
New York Vet takes place in October in 2026
New York Vet, also called New York Vet Show, is a veterinary conference and exhibition organized by CloserStill Media. The next edition is scheduled for October 29–30, 2026, at the Jacob Javits Convention Center, 429 11th Avenue, New York City. These dates apply to New York; other events in the organizer’s Vet Show portfolio have separate schedules. Event details · Organizer.

These are visitor-facing exhibit hours, not delivery or setup windows. Check the exhibitor schedule before arranging freight or installation. Dates and hours above were checked on September 7, 2026. Official schedule.
The event combines continuing education with an exhibition for veterinary products and services. That makes it relevant to clinic suppliers, but attending a professional conference does not tell you whether someone can authorize a software purchase.
The audience includes your users and your potential decision-makers
The organizer identifies veterinarians, technicians, practice owners and practice managers among the audience. For your software team, the distinction matters: someone who uses patient records every day may spot a useful feature immediately, while the decision to replace the clinic’s system may sit elsewhere. Who attends.

Decide what follow-up each conversation needs. When a clinician describes a documentation problem, find out whether the clinic is actively reviewing software and who else would need to see it. When an owner or manager has a replacement project, be ready to discuss how the clinic would move its records and train its team. Treat these as questions to explore, not assumptions about every visitor’s authority.
The 2026 program includes clinical teaching and a dedicated veterinary technician theater, alongside Business Theater I and Business Theater II. Those business sessions give you a reason to look beyond the clinical timetable when planning appointments. They do not establish how many owners will attend or what proportion have a purchase planned. 2026 program.
Look at the other exhibitors before deciding how to introduce your software
The official exhibitor directory includes PetDesk, Otto, Weave and IDEXX Laboratories & EzyVet. It also lists animal health and diagnostic companies such as Zoetis and Antech. Software sits within a broader veterinary exhibition, rather than being the sole reason people visit. Exhibitor directory.
Before reserving space, compare how your product would appear beside those exhibitors. Can a visitor tell whether your product replaces a practice management system or solves one problem alongside it? A sign that merely promises a better clinic gives little reason to stop when several companies appear relevant.
Show one familiar task, such as finding an appointment and opening its patient record, using a demonstration account. Then explain where that task sits in your product. Only show integrations your team can substantiate; a recognizable software logo is not evidence of a working connection.
The directory helps you identify competing messages and possible conversations. It does not prove that listed companies are looking for channel partners, or that a booth visit will reach their partnership team. If partnerships are your main reason to attend, arrange those conversations before committing to exhibit.
The theaters are part of the show-floor experience
New York Vet describes a layout with theaters on the exhibition floor. Its published program also spreads teaching across multiple named theaters. This close relationship between sessions and exhibits is a useful feature for a short software demonstration: visitors can encounter your product while moving between classes. It is not a promise of steady traffic to every booth. Exhibition format · Program.

Plan a demonstration that can pause when someone has to leave for a session. Place the screen where two people can read it without standing in the aisle. Keep a separate place to arrange a longer discussion, so a detailed migration question does not stop every other conversation.
Use the official 2026 floor plan to review a proposed location in relation to the theaters. Confirm available space with the organizer before having a layout drawn for that booth. Theater proximity alone cannot tell you whether the visitor route, neighboring displays or sound conditions will suit your demo. 2026 floor plan.
Check the new meetings program if owners and managers are your priority
New York Vet’s 2026 one-to-one meetings program matches participating practice owners and managers with solution providers. The published meeting length is 15 minutes. That offers a more specific conversation format to investigate if your software requires an owner’s or manager’s involvement. Meetings program.

The public information is addressed to attendees. It does not establish that every exhibitor receives meetings, or that supplier participation is included in booth rental. Ask the organizer about supplier eligibility, pricing and matching before putting meetings into your forecast. If you are accepted, use the short appointment to establish the clinic’s current system and reason for reviewing it, then agree on who should join a fuller demonstration.
Use the 2026 exhibitor portal before approving the booth
The main website links to a 2026 Exhibitor Resource Center, which requires sign-in. A separate Current Exhibitors page still contains a 2025 heading and a link to the older portal. Start from the main navigation’s current link rather than relying on a saved resource-page bookmark. 2026 portal · Older resource page.

For a software display, obtain the current service instructions for internet and electrical orders. Confirm what your space includes, the permitted display dimensions and the setup schedule before approving construction. The public service kit still gives 2024 deadlines for demonstration submissions and booth plans. Do not use those dates, or its older package details, to approve your 2026 display. Obtain the current rules through the portal or event team. Service kit with older deadlines.
Have a recorded or offline demonstration available if your product allows it. That is a planning recommendation, not a claim that the venue’s connection is unreliable. It lets you continue a useful conversation if your own login, test account or connection fails.
Exhibitor questions
Does a booth booking include a speaking slot?
Do not assume so. The organizer lists sponsorship opportunities, including sponsored presentations, separately from its booth inquiry route. Ask which speaking options are available and what review they require. A booth booking is not evidence of acceptance into the educational program. Exhibiting and sponsorships.
Can I buy the official attendee list for an email campaign?
The organizer says it does not sell its data and warns exhibitors about third parties claiming to offer marketing leads. Treat a seller’s claim of an official attendee list as unverified; confirm any proposed marketing service directly with the event team. Official partner notice.
Can I visit before committing to a booth?
The registration page lists commercial exhibition access as subject to sales-team approval and says commercial passes are charged at the full conference rate. Request the correct commercial pass if you want to assess the event first. Do not assume that visitor admission authorizes you to promote your software in the aisles; ask the organizer what activities are permitted. Registration conditions.
Decide what would make the trip worthwhile
Before requesting a booth proposal, choose the clinic problem your team can demonstrate clearly. Then ask about access to owner-and-manager meetings and the current conditions for running that demonstration. If your only viable outcome is a signed contract with a large veterinary group, establish a route to that buying team first; general attendance at New York Vet is not enough to support that plan.
