EXPO! EXPO! connects exhibition organizers with the suppliers that help them run their shows. If you sell event technology, you can ask organizers how they handle registration, communicate with different attendee groups and measure participation, then discuss where your product could help.
The event is the Annual Meeting & Exhibition of the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE). In 2026, it takes place in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on November 16–18. IAEE’s event announcement
The 2026 dates and venue
The host venue is the Baird Center, at 400 W Wisconsin Avenue in Milwaukee. The overall event runs for three days, but the published exhibition hours cover two. Official venue and show hours
| Part of the event | Published dates or hours |
|---|---|
| Annual meeting and exhibition program | November 16–18, 2026 |
| Exhibition floor, Tuesday | November 17, 10:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. |
| Exhibition floor, Wednesday | November 18, 9:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m. |
Do not treat November 16 as another full day of booth traffic. Use the event schedule to plan education and networking around the exhibition hours, and reconfirm it before booking your team’s travel.
If an older search result points you to Houston, that was the 2025 edition. New Orleans is scheduled for December 6–8, 2027. Neither is the location for 2026. IAEE’s confirmed sequence of host cities
Who you can expect to meet
IAEE presents EXPO! EXPO! as a meeting place for show organizers to find ideas, education and industry connections. That makes it relevant when your customer buys systems to run an exhibition: for example, software for registration, attendee communications or measuring event activity. These are examples of buying needs to test, not a promise that every visitor needs your particular product. Official attendee overview

The organizer’s published buyer-company list includes Informa Markets, Emerald X, Messe Frankfurt and the Association of Equipment Manufacturers. The page was labeled “Updated as of 17 August 2026” when checked for this article. Those names give you a more concrete starting point than a broad claim about reaching industry leaders. They do not establish who will attend from each organization or what those people are buying. Published buyer-company list
Before committing, choose the organizations on that list that resemble your existing customers. Look at the events they run, then ask whether one show team would buy your product or an organizer would use it across several events. If your software serves several events, find out whether the company chooses it centrally. For a specialist tool used at one show, the relevant contact may be that show’s team.
This is also why a manufacturer should be cautious about the word “buyers.” The event’s audience is built around organizing events. A medical association appearing on the list does not, by itself, make this a medical-equipment sourcing show. For your technology business, the attraction is the organizer’s operational problem, not the industry represented by its members.
The agenda: what happens beyond the exhibition booths
The exhibition is part of a wider learning program. IAEE describes hands-on learning zones on the show floor, a general session and smaller discussions among peers. For a supplier, these formats can reveal how organizers describe their problems before you turn the conversation into a product demonstration. Check the access included with your registration before building a personal session schedule. Official learning overview
For 2026, IAEE organizes content into six areas. In practical terms, they cover applying AI and other technology; designing the attendee experience; turning marketing into registrations and participation; handling event operations and risk; developing sponsorship and sales; and making events more sustainable. The Sustainability Sanctuary includes an interactive pavilion with practical examples. 2026 content tracks
The technology theme is particularly relevant if your demonstration can show a task getting done. For instance, an attendee-messaging product could show how an organizer changes a message for one audience group without sending it to everyone. That is an illustrative demo idea, not an announced EXPO! EXPO! session.

Other tracks help explain the buying decision. A tool that captures event activity may matter to the team selling sponsorship as much as to the team choosing software. Before the show, decide which person can use your output and what they can do with it. That will make the conversation more useful than a tour of every feature.
Which exhibition option fits your stage?
The 2026 exhibitor page lists several ways to participate, including standard exhibit space and specialty packages. A smaller format may suit an initial market test, but check the eligibility rules and what comes with it before comparing prices. Official exhibitor options
Tech Startup Central is specifically for technology companies less than two years old. Its published package includes a monitor, graphics, power and two exhibitor registrations, among other items. A mature company launching a new product should not assume the product’s age satisfies the company-age rule. Confirm eligibility with IAEE first. 2026 Tech Startup Central package
The Debut Exhibitor Package is offered to active IAEE members. The published package provides exhibit space, basic furnishings and a mixture of full-access and booth-staff registrations. It gives a first-time exhibitor a concrete option to ask about, but IAEE should confirm eligibility, availability and the current offer before you rely on it. 2026 Debut package
Standard exhibit space is worth comparing when you need more freedom to demonstrate your product or hold conversations. The organizer lists space separately from the specialty packages. Ask for a current written breakdown of included services and any extras your demonstration needs; an included screen or power connection in one package does not carry over automatically to another. Exhibition sales resources
For an initial decision, start with the interaction you need. If one screen and a short guided demonstration can explain the product, compare a suitable packaged option first. If the demonstration needs several users or separate conversations at once, discuss the space and service requirements before selecting a booth. The size should follow what visitors need to try.

FAQs
Can a supplier use the hosted-buyer program?
Do not assume you qualify simply because your company buys services. IAEE’s published criteria require the participant’s organization to own or operate an event or exhibition, and the participant to be a decision-maker at manager level or above. The program also has other eligibility conditions and onsite commitments. A supplier attending primarily to sell should ask IAEE which registration category applies. Hosted-buyer criteria and terms
Will every booth-staff badge include the education program?
Confirm the actual badge category for each person. The Debut package, for example, distinguishes one full-access registration from two booth-staff registrations. That distinction matters if one colleague needs to attend education while others cover the exhibit. Ask IAEE for the current access details before buying additional registrations. Debut registration inclusions
Can the organizer’s traffic figures predict how many leads we will get?
They cannot establish your result. The 2026 prospectus includes measurements drawn from the 2025 show, and explains that its traffic measurement can include visitors whose badges were never scanned. A booth visit is therefore not the same as a captured sales lead. Use historical figures to ask better questions about the event, then assess your own conversations by product fit and a specific follow-up action. 2026 prospectus and its historical-data notes
Final Thoughts
When you need a booth that supports event technology demonstrations, KingExhibits can help you plan the display and meeting space. For EXPO! EXPO!, share your booth dimensions, demonstration equipment and expected meeting format. We can discuss a design and build scope that lets visitors see the product task and gives your team room to explain how it works.
