Discover Boating Norwalk Boat Show 2026: Exhibitor Guide

Before you move a boat to Norwalk, decide which customer you want climbing aboard. The Norwalk Boat Show brings recreational boating to a public waterfront setting. This guide explains the 2026 show, the boats and experiences visitors will find, and what that means for your dealership's display.

The 2026 show at Norwalk Cove Marina

The Discover Boating Norwalk Boat Show is scheduled for September 24–27, 2026, at Norwalk Cove Marina, 48 Calf Pasture Beach Road, Norwalk, Connecticut. Public hours are 10 a.m.–7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Sunday. Official show information

The National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) produces the show. It is a consumer-facing recreational boat show, so your sales team should be ready to talk to boat owners and people considering their first purchase. Industry participation does not turn the event into a wholesale buying fair. Organizer information · Trade registration

The marina setting gives you a different selling opportunity from a catalog presentation: visitors can compare boats in person. Your display needs to help visitors picture their own weekends aboard, with room to inspect the boat and ask questions.

What the audience means for your dealership

The organizer describes a regional audience of boaters, anglers and watersports enthusiasts. Its demographic material is based on 2024 post-show surveys, not an advance count of 2026 buyers. Use it to assess the broad market, not to forecast deposits at your stand. Audience information

For a dealership serving this region, the useful conversation may start with where someone keeps a boat. A visitor who likes your display still needs a practical place for delivery and service. Ask about their home waters early, then show a model you can support there. An impressive vessel that sends every interested owner to a service center hours away may create less useful business than a smaller boat your team can look after locally.

Norwalk is worth considering when you have a new boat that suits these recreational uses and can explain ownership beyond the purchase. If you are still choosing which boat brand to represent, arrange meetings with the relevant companies before visiting. A scouting trip may serve that decision better than committing to a display.

Boats and exhibitors on the 2026 list

The official 2026 boat list names both the model and the exhibiting business. Examples include the Barletta Aria 20 QC, Grady White 266 Canyon and Absolute 52 Flybridge. That spread gives you a more useful starting point than treating every visitor as a yacht buyer. Check the live list again before you settle your own lineup. The separate exhibitor directory helps you identify the businesses behind the displays; it currently includes All Seasons Marine Works and MarineMax. Exhibitor directory 2026 boat list

Choose a display boat because it answers a recognizable ownership question. For a family considering days out together, demonstrate movement around the seating and access to storage. For someone who fishes, show where equipment goes and how people move around the working area. Let the boat do some of the explaining; a large graphic cannot replace a clear view of the feature being discussed.

Bring a specification sheet for the actual configuration on display. If a performance figure comes from a different engine package or load, say so. Separate fitted equipment from optional extras on the price sheet, and have someone available who can explain delivery and after-sales support. These are your dealership's facts to supply, not promises the show makes for you.

The experiences shaping the 2026 visit

Engine Alley, expanded for 2026, gives visitors a place to explore marine propulsion. Captain's Cove adds hands-on boating education, while the Meet Your Match guided tour helps first-time buyers compare boats by intended use. These experiences can bring more specific questions to your sales team. 2026 show features

An engine discussion can lead to a question about the package on your boat. Have your salesperson explain why it suits that hull and intended use, with the relevant manufacturer's information to hand. A first-time shopper may need a simpler starting point: where the family sits, what comes with the boat and who helps after delivery.

Do not assume a scheduled tour will stop at your space. Ask the show team whether your display can take part and what they need from you. Even without a tour stop, a short, repeatable walk-through helps staff give a complete explanation when several people arrive together.

How the land, water and booth spaces differ

Norwalk offers bulk land space, in-water slips and in-line booths. Marine displays use the regular space-sales route; non-marine businesses are directed to sponsorship. Check the current offer for your category before ordering a structure or shipping a boat. Space information

SpaceWhat to resolve for your display
Water slipMatch the assigned berth to the actual vessel and work out how staff will manage boarding conversations without blocking the dock.
Bulk landDraw the boat, its supports and visitor access together. The hull dimensions alone do not describe the space you need.
In-line boothUse this for a display that fits its approved footprint. It is not a substitute for boat space merely because the booking looks smaller.

The boat information form asks for length overall, beam (width) and weight, as well as handling details; land exhibitors also submit a layout. Send the information for the boat you will actually bring. A change of model can affect both placement and handling. Boat information form

Before fabrication, have the show team review the entrance, signs and any proposed shelter. Keep the product visible from the approach. Put the discussion area where a salesperson can stay with a visitor while another member of staff supervises boarding.

What needs confirming before arrival?

The public 2026 exhibitor kit links to move-in information, but its separate schedule section still carries an August announcement placeholder as of September 7. The general-information and move-in PDFs also use different time ranges. Get your assigned arrival slot from show management before booking transport. Exhibitor kit · General information

The boat form's August 12 deadline has already passed. If you are joining late or changing your boat, ask whether the revision can still be accepted. Available space and a workable handling appointment both need confirmation; the public form is not evidence that either remains available. Boat information form

The linked move-in instructions require clear docks and a working bilge pump for water exhibits. Exhibits must also stay staffed and intact through the Sunday close. Plan boarding and staff breaks with those obligations in mind. Move-in and move-out instructions

Show terms require approved products and appropriate authority to display and sell them. Review the current contract and insurance instructions with whoever handles your dealership's registration before committing a substitute boat or a partner's branding. Exhibitor terms

Exhibitor FAQ

Can I visit before deciding to exhibit in a future year?

Marine industry members can apply for trade registration, which includes access before the public opening. Use a scouting visit to see which boats draw sustained conversations and how visitors move between land and water displays. Arrange any dealer meetings directly; a credential does not book them for you. Trade registration

Can I bring used boats to sell?

The official visitor FAQ says used boats are not displayed or sold at this show. Do not build a used-inventory clearance plan around Norwalk. If you have an unusual model-year or demonstration-boat situation, send the precise details to show management and obtain a decision before shipping. Official FAQ

Does a boat on display automatically qualify for customer sea trials?

No automatic approval should be assumed. Ask show management and the marina about your particular boat's movements and any additional conditions before offering appointments. If a customer cannot try that boat during the show, offer a later demonstration only when your dealership can actually provide it. The show's advertised rides are not a promise of access to every exhibitor's boat.

Can our dealership work within a manufacturer's display?

The show's 2026 working-exhibitor form provides for participating dealers to be listed and to register separately for credentials. Have the contracted exhibitor submit your dealership's details and confirm the arrangement with show management. Do not treat an informal invitation as permission to share space. Working-exhibitor form · Exhibitor terms

Should the whole sales presentation depend on marina Wi-Fi?

The official FAQ lists public Wi-Fi, but that does not tell you how your device will perform at your berth. Store the displayed boat's specifications and photographs offline. If a quotation needs a live system, check the connection at your actual space and keep a way to record the request if it fails. Official FAQ

Make the next decision around a specific boat

Shortlist the boat you can sell and support for this audience, then ask the show team to confirm a suitable space and arrival arrangement. If either is unresolved, hold the transport booking. That gives your dealership a concrete basis for deciding whether to exhibit at Norwalk this year.
