Trade Show Booth Rental at PACK EXPO International

PACK EXPO booths at McCormick Place engineered for running packaging machinery and live demos to production buyers.

  • Running demo space
  • Rigging & power access
  • Materials sample displays
  • Buyer-focused flow
The Full Machine Envelope

The floor plan includes the operating footprint, doors, guards, controls, operator position and service access—not only the dimensions shown on a shipping document.

One Complete Demo Cycle

Infeed, processing, inspection, outfeed and sample handling are arranged so a buyer can follow the result without crossing the operator’s working area.

A Technical Follow-Up

Screens, comparison samples and meeting space sit close enough to the equipment for engineers and sales staff to continue the discussion after a demonstration.

A Clear Responsibility Split

The quote identifies King Exhibits booth work, exhibitor-supplied machinery and content, and services ordered through the organizer or official contractors.

Rent the Exhibit Around What the Buyer Needs to See Running

Packaging buyers rarely stop at the outside appearance of a machine. They want to see the product enter, watch the process, inspect the finished pack and ask what changes for their container, material, speed, footprint or line. A useful PACK EXPO International booth design makes that sequence easy to understand while keeping controls, doors, guards and operator space usable.

That starts with better input than a booth size and a machine footprint. The design team needs transport and operating dimensions, opening directions, product flow, utility points, sample volume, noise or waste considerations, operator positions and the number of people expected around each run. A filler, labeler, inspection system, robot cell and packaging material display create different viewing and service needs even when they occupy similar square footage.

King Exhibits turns those inputs into a coordinated 3D booth plan with rental walls, towers, lightboxes, graphics, monitors, counters, storage and meeting areas selected for the job. Custom machine surrounds or product supports can be quoted when their dimensions and function are confirmed. We can also include packing, freight coordination and installation or dismantling work that appears in the accepted proposal.

McCormick Place services remain part of the same project schedule without being misrepresented as King-owned work. Current booth rules, target move-in, material handling conditions, utilities, rigging, EAC requirements and outbound paperwork must be checked through the official PACK EXPO resources before release.

SHOW-SPECIFIC EXHIBIT OPTIONS

Make One Demonstration Easy to Follow and Easy to Repeat

Set Up the Product trade show booth a full-scale equipment demonstration on a stable booth platform with service access visible

Give the operator a defined place for empty containers, film, labels, ingredients or test pieces. Concealed storage should reduce restocking trips without blocking machine access.

Show the Process trade show booth an interactive screen and hardware demonstration with a clear operator position

Position the main controls and moving or inspection points toward the intended viewing side. A screen can enlarge details that buyers cannot safely approach during operation.

Put the Result in the Buyer’s Hand trade show booth an interactive screen and hardware demonstration with a clear operator position

Collect finished packs or samples where staff can explain seal quality, print, inspection data, material use or changeover without interrupting the next run.

Continue the Technical Conversation trade show booth a practical meeting corner beside the product display with a table, chairs and presentation material

Place the product specialist, application engineer or sales lead within a short step of the demonstration. The buyer should not lose the thread while searching for a meeting table.

Give the Machine Its Operating Space Before Adding Walls

A shipping footprint does not show an open guard, cabinet door, film path, discharge conveyor or operator stance. Mark every moving and service area on the booth plan, along with the side buyers need to inspect. King Exhibits can then place rental walls, screens, lighting, graphics and counters outside that working envelope. This order protects the demonstration and gives the booth design a useful shape; it also exposes missing dimensions before production or service drawings are released.

Separate Machine Freight from Booth Freight

List machinery, booth crates, samples and hand-carried items as separate shipment groups even when they share a carrier. PACK EXPO International assigns target move-in dates and currently includes qualifying material handling under specific conditions; transportation is still a different cost and responsibility. Record each group’s piece count, weight, arrival route, placement contact and outbound destination. That information supports booth installation, machine placement and the Material Handling Agreement without treating the entire project as one anonymous load.

Plan the Output Side as Carefully as the Feed Side

A packaging line does not end when the machine cycles. Record where finished packs, rejected samples, loose film, cartons and tools go after each run. Give the operator a short reset path and visitors a safe place to inspect approved samples without reaching into equipment. This keeps the demo face presentable between cycles and shows buyers the finished result. The exhibitor still controls machine operation, product safety and disposal procedures.

WHY KING EXHIBITS

One Approved Drawing Connects the Machine and the Rental Exhibit

One Approved Drawing Connects the Machine and the Rental Exhibit trade show booth an interactive screen and hardware demonstration with a clear operator position

The working drawing can carry the machine’s displayed footprint, openings, operating side, viewer line and utility points together with the exhibit walls, graphic sizes, screen mounts, counters, storage and meeting areas. That gives the exhibitor’s engineering, marketing and event teams one place to resolve conflicts before rental preparation and graphic production begin.

King Exhibits then prepares the components and custom work named in the approved scope. The packing list follows those booth assets, while the machine, samples and official show-service orders remain separately identified. This makes the proposal easier to compare and gives the installation team a clearer handoff than a rendering with no operating information behind it.

Can the booth be designed around operating packaging machinery?

Yes. Send the machine’s transport and operating dimensions, openings, control and service sides, product flow, utilities, operator needs and demonstration method. The booth plan can then preserve the working envelope and position rental structures, graphics, screens and meetings around it. The exhibitor remains responsible for machine operation and approved safety procedures unless the written scope says otherwise.

Is drayage included at PACK EXPO International?

The current organizer states that qualifying material handling is included in the exhibit-space rate when its conditions and assigned target schedule are met. That is not the same as transportation to Chicago. Confirm the current terms before shipping; the quote should keep carrier charges, machinery shipping, booth freight and official material handling clearly separated.

Why does the target move-in date matter to the booth plan?

The target date controls when direct freight should reach McCormick Place and can affect material-handling treatment. Machinery placement may also need to happen before nearby booth construction closes the route. The machine shipment, booth crates, labor sequence and onsite contacts should therefore be scheduled together before release.

Can King Exhibits order electricity, air, rigging or other show services?

Coordination or order support may be included when it is written into the proposal, but the service is supplied under the current show and venue program. Provide voltage, amperage, compressed air, data, rigging and other requirements early enough to position drops and access points in the booth drawing.

Are hanging signs and tall booth elements allowed?

They depend on the contracted booth size, type and current PACK EXPO rules. Height limits, setbacks and hanging-sign permissions can change by footprint. Send the booth assignment before approving towers, high graphics or overhead identification, and obtain the required show review.

What should we send for a PACK EXPO International booth quote?

Send the booth number and size, machine drawings, weights, utility points, openings, operating video, product flow, samples, visitor plan, graphics, screens, storage, meeting needs, target move-in information and requested freight or I&D support. Identify what the machine supplier, exhibitor and official vendors will each handle.
